New license to manufacturer/dealer/repairer of weight or measure

  Legal metrology organization, maharashtra issues licenses to the manufacturer/repairer/dealer of weight or measure. Applicant has to apply online only for new licenses. issued licenses are initially valid for one calendar year.

(a) Procedure To Obtain The Requested License Is As Follow:
      1. Register / Create An Account in Online Application
     2. Login With Valid Login Credentials
     3. Click on 'Apply For New Manufacturer License' link
       3a. Upload your passport size photograph in JPG or PNG format.
       3b. Upload your hand signature in JPG or PNG format.(10kb-20kb)
     4. Fill In The Online Application Form
     5. Upload The Required Documents
     6. Click On Payment Button To Make Payment
     7. Click On Preview Button To Verify & Confirm The Application Form
     8. Submit The Application
     9. Click On Preview To Get The Printout Of Submitted Application Form
     10. Concerned Inspecting Officer will visit the location for spot inspection
     11. Submit Self Attested Photocopies Of Uploaded Documents & Application Form to Inspecting Officer
     12. If Everything Is Correct, The Inspecting Officer Will Send The Application To Issuing Authority
     13. Once The Application Is Approved, The Electronic Copy Of License Can Be Downloaded In Respective Applicant Login

Self attested mandatory documents list for new Manufacturer license

  1. Certificate of registration of Industry/registration under Shops and Establishments Act/ NOC from Grampanchayat
  2. Authenticated document regarding Proprietorship /Registered partnership deed/ memorandum of association and articles of association along with list of directors.
  3. Premises - ownership  documents/ registered rent or leave license agreement or lease agreement NOC from the owner / NOC of the member if the premises is owned by family member.
  4. Model Approval certificate
  5. Machinery, tools and equipment list
  6. PAN card
  7. Profession tax  registration
  8. List of qualified persons.
  9. Educational qualification certificate of the Applicant / qualified person
  10. Verification certificate of test weight or measure
  11. Self declaration  about whether any   offence is  pending  against him  in  court or  police  station
  12. Self declaration about whether the Applicant has violated any of the provisions of Legal Metrology Act, 2009 or rules made there under.
  13. Latest electricity bill.

 



(c) Payment mode for requested license is as follow: (Rs. 8000/- Per Year)

Through GRAS

  1. Visit the GRAS website (https://gras.mahakosh.gov.in/echallan/)
  2. Login to website if you have registered or else click on Pay Without Registration tab
  3. Enter the Department name (Controller Of Legal Metrology) in provided text box and click on Submit button
  4. Fill up the form with necessary data and click on Submit button
  5. Make the payment and save the Challan Number & Date for future reference
